Or We'll Stand on the Edge Together
Pull me out of the rubble. Or unpin me
from the wall, no time
to waistcoat pocket secrets
or bread crusts cut from tomorrow's
center. Separate shrapnel from taking
photographs of yourself on a good day.
Pray for the rain to never stop. Look
left, don't touch. Don't bloody
my paper bag face, my arms.
I'm in the middle, look there first.
